Profile
Prof. Dr. Wang Huai-Qian is currently working as professor at Huaqiao University, Master's Supervisor, Excellent Master's Thesis Supervisor in Fujian Province. He received his B. S. in 2006 from Ludong University and Ph. D. in 2011 from Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Sichuan University. He has presided over 9 scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation and the Fujian Provincial Natural Science Foundation. He has won awards such as the Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Award (2020), Quanzhou City Science and Technology Award (2016), and Baosteel Education Award of the Ministry of Education (2010). He has been selected into talent programs such as the Fujian Province New Century Excellent Talents Plan (2015) and the Outstanding Young Research Talent Cultivation Program of Universities (2014).
His research is focused on 1) Probing the electronic structure of atomic and molecular clusters combining size-selected anion photoelectron spectroscopy and DFT calculation; 2) Studying the microscopic origin of physical properties/behaviors of Nanocluster, using ab initio simulations based on DFT. So far, he has published more than 50 papers in international SCI journals such as J. Chem. Phys., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., RSC Adv., J. Phys. Chem., Sci. China-Phys. Mech. Astron., and J. Magn. Magn. Mater. As first or corresponding author, he has published 8 JCR Top papers and 28 JCR Q2 and above SCI papers, with a cumulative impact factor greater than 120. His research papers have been widely cited over 500 times by international authoritative SCI journals including Chem. Rev. (Impact factor: 72.087). He is now a reviewer for international SCI journals such as J. Phys. Chem. Lett., Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., J. Chem. Phys., J. Mater. Chem., Inorg. Chem., Chem. Mater, Nanoscale, New J. Chem., J. Alloy. Compd., and so on.
In recent years, he has guided 15 national, provincial, and school-level college students' innovation and entrepreneurship projects, guided more than 80 students, helped publish 11 academic papers, including 10 SCI papers. He has also guided more than 80 photovoltaic major undergraduate graduation designs, all of which have passed the defense successfully. Many students have won excellent graduation thesis awards and president's special awards of Huaqiao University. Many students have been recommended or successfully entered the graduate programs of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 985 universities, and so on. His main research directions are photovoltaic materials and theoretical calculation, and design and property control of nanoclusters.
