On May 29, the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) conducted recruitment talks on Quanzhou and Xiamen campuses of Huaqiao University (HQU). HQU President Wu Jianping met with the delegation led by Chan Shun-hee, Director of the General Grades Office of the CSB. Vice President Wang Xiuyong also attended the meeting.
The recruitment talks introduced the work, entry requirements, recruitment processes and related information for positions including the Executive Officer, Clerical and Secretarial Grades, Student Air Traffic Control Officer, Civil Engineer Trainee,Geotechnical Engineer Trainee, Geological Engineer Trainee, Technical Officer, Works Supervisor, Leisure Services Manager, Amenities Assistant, and Civil Servant/Contract Lifeguard. There was also a mock interview session for Hong Kong students to experience the interview process, receive on-site assessment and advice, and improve their interview skills.

It is a great opportunity for those who are studying in the Mainland and wish to join the civil service in HK.” saidChen Yanchuan, a student from College of Foreign Languages who attended the mock interview.
This is the second CSB recruitment talk at HQU. The visiting recruitment team also included representatives from the Civil Aviation Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department, Highways Department, and Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the HKSAR Government. The talks introduced the diverse career opportunities offered by the HKSAR Government and have attracted 142 Hong Kong students who had a strong desire to join the civil service.
